I is for I spy

The natural world is full of surprises!

Sometimes you need to look carefully to spot them.

What's this hummingbird hawk moth doing?

Look closely and you can see its long proboscis, or tube-like tongue, drinking nectar from the flower.

It hovers like a hummingbird.

A sunny, sandy surprise.

Can you spot three young common lizards peeping out into the sunshine?

Who's hiding in the bushes?

A lime hawk moth.

Its wing markings hide it from predators in the dappled light.

Is it a stick or is it a moth?

The pale prominent moth is not so prominent in these sticks.

Does it leap out at you?
